If one consults Population Research Bureau's 2008 Data Sheet you will see why all the talk about peace in Gaza has so far little actual possibility of success. Consider the facts and draw the obvious conclusions.
Israel presently has a population of 7.5 millions and Palestinian territory contains 4.2 Muslim Arabs et al. The density of populations differ in terms of 338 Israelis/sq.km. and 690 Arabs/sq.km.
The total fertility rates are severally, Israeli 2.9, Palestinian 4.6, and the natural increase (births minus deaths) Israeli 1.6% against Palestinian 3.3%.The projected populations by 2025 are Israeli 9.3 millions and Palestinian 6.2 millions.
The Palestinians have said ominously " Our children are our weapons". This threat is now being voiced everywhere in the Third World.
The sooner we in the West appreciate that the new 21st century form of warfare is demographic the sooner we will realise that aircraft carriers are no defence in the Battle of the Birth Rates.
The studied and cowardly ignoring of this critical issue by the LibLabCon Establishment here decreases by the year our ability to defend ourselves against those who are even now colonising our European nations.
(My letter publication ratio is one out of four in three papers and nil in the rest.
I wonder why?)
