The Black-Red Alliance

A strange lot of bedfellows, Marxists and Islamists, has arisen in Europe as a consequence of the American-led coalition in Iraq Akin to the British model of George Galloway's Respect Party, the Black-Red alliance has been making global noises since 2002.

Formed in 2002, the alliance has a steering committee of 33, comprising Labour Party radicals, members of the Socialist Workers' Party, Trotskyites, radical Islamists, leftist ecologists known as Watermelons (Green outside, red inside) Chairman Andrew Murray of the Communist Party. Co-chair is Muhammad Aslam Ijazz of the London Council of Mosques.

International conferences have been held in Cairo presided over by the former president of Algeria, Ahmed Ben Bella, under the Auspices of the International Campaign Against US and Zionist Occupations. 'The Cairo Declaration Against US Hegemony, War on Iraq and Solidarity with Palestine' had signatories that included Tony Benn, and George Galloway. George got a mention for his 'fiery' presentation in Al-Ahram, Egypt's semi-official newspaper. .
Marxists and Islamists don't much share the same politics - but hatred of America, and British Britain, is common ground. The hard Left was in the doldrums until it realized that targeting disaffected Muslim youth, ghetto-ized by multiculturalism and Koran-ized by militant mullahs could be a vote-catcher. In return, Islamists gained access to a political group, savvy with the strengths and weaknesses of British democracy, to assist in bringing Islam to the UK.

During the Cold War, while the Soviet Union was sending rockets to Cuba, slaughtering the Czechs, blockading Berlin and populating the gulags, communists in Europe unceasingly organized demonstrations of the Soviet Peace Movement.

Deriving from that experience, the Iraq anti-war coalition is being used in precisely the same way. While more than 11,000 Islamic terrorist acts have been carried out since 9/11, while our troops fight a war to contain Islam and keep it far from our shores, while Muslims kill other Muslims and non-Muslims around the world on a daily basis, the anti-war coalition works to discomfit and hinder Western governments in the war against Islamic terrorism and anti-war demonstrations are organized as Islamics seek to subjugate Europe.

It is Islamic terrorism against the West. Islamists are committed to establishing Pax Islamica and are prepared to kill every non-Muslim to achieve it. If the actions in Iraq and Afghanistan are not effective in containing Islamic terror (the only reasons for withdrawing from these areas), then we need to find ways that are.

The Black-Red alliance won't be helping us, nor will support for the anti-war coalition..
