About Us - just ordinary people, like those below, fed up with useless politicians! Our Draft "Constitution" is below: PURPOSE: To act as a common sense focused pressure group by: - Acting as a check on the prejudiced actions of the Scottish Parliament (e.g. banning of fox-hunting and other trivial bans, removal of Section 2A/28, using Scottish Enterprise cash to buy out islands and estates, building of windfarms etc.) - Speaking out in support of the so called "silent majority" in Scotland - Helping generate a better focus on wealth generation rather than wealth distribution. - Acting as a counter to the ever-increasing armies of politically correct organisations proliferating in Scotland and elsewhere, thereby encouraging more sensible and adult debate of issues such as immigration and the EU. - Developing a written Constitution by the people to protect the people from the state/politicians, Councillors etc. METHODS OF OPERATION - Letters to newspapers (note when using the LWG name, it is required that members circulate giving one week's notice - the proposed communication to all other members to ensure that no objection is raised) - Press releases to media - Letters to MSPs, MPs, Scottish Government, Councilors etc. - Round robin letters - Parliamentary petitions KEY PRINCIPLES (in no particular order; YOU decide priorities!) # Measured and managed immigration; # Retention of UK sovereignty; # Control the rise of Islam - an alien force in our country; # No further expansion of EU powers or in EU membership; # Less social engineering and petty regulation/legislation; # More independence (from LAs) for schools; # Fewer and better regulated quangos less government cronyism; # Fewer politicians and less government intervention; # Less focus on human rights and more on individual responsibilities; # More focus on the community; # Reduced bureaucracy for business; # Replace (or reduce) council tax; # Improved private sector pensions; # Develop future energy policy - abandon wind farms only policy # Minimum government (national and local) expenditure .
